Synopsis: This is a documentary on a Pardhi settlement located on Irshalgad, a hill in the Sahyadris. The Pardhi community of Maharashtra is a nomadic tribe, whose main livelihood was bird hunting; they hunted birds both for food and money. As the livelihood of the tribe evolved from hunting to farming, so did the community. “The Dawn of Civilization” articulates the transition of Pardhi community in the context of their livelihood.
