scan0038Entry 61

Synopsis: An interesting parallel to Slumdog Millionaire. While India experiences record economic growth, 1 lakh children remain homeless and on the streets. Many seek shelter at city’s train stations; in particular Sealdah, in the heart of Calcutta. These children are hungry for change and freedom. But with little hope for future, they wander aimlessly all day, and sleep on the platforms or in squats every night. In this living hell and NGO and French priest attempt to come to their aid with stunning dedication.
